How to Set Up an Off Grid Channel inside the Aleck app

You can create a custom channel on your Aleck Off Grid that works with other walkie talkies using channels and subcodes, including Rockie Talkie, BCA, and Motorola devices. Here's how to set it up in the Aleck app:

📱 Step-by-Step Setup

1. Open the Aleck App
   Make sure you have the latest version installed on your phone.

2. Connect Your Off Grid Device

   • Tap the plus (+) button in the bottom-right corner of the app

   • Select Add Device and follow the prompts to connect your Off Grid

3. Create a Custom Channel

   • Tap the plus (+) button again

   • Select Create Channel

   • Then choose Create Off Grid Channel

4. Configure Your Channel Using Walkie Words

   • You'll be asked to choose a combination of walkie words

   • These walkie words map to specific frequencies used in your region

   • At the top of the screen, you’ll see a green or red button showing “Highest Compatibility” or “Aleck Compatibility”

   • Tap this button to view the Channel and Subcode values

💡 Share this Channel and Subcode with others using walkie talkies like Rockie Talkie, BCA, or Motorola so they can tune in to the same channel.

5. Create and Deploy the Channel

   • Once you’ve chosen your walkie words, tap the Create Channel button at the bottom

   • After the channel is created, tap Activate inside the channel screen to send it to your Off Grid

6. Using the App Channel on Your Off Grid Device

   • Your custom channel will now show up as “App” on the Off Grid device

   • It appears after channel 15

   • This channel will remain saved on the device unless you deploy a new one or perform a factory reset
