Yes! The Aleck Off Grid can communicate with other walkie-talkies such as Rockie Talkie, BCA, and Motorola, as long as they operate on the same radio bands.
The Off Grid uses FRS, PMR, and UHF CB frequencies, which are standard across many consumer two-way radios. This allows you to sync up with other devices by aligning the frequency and subcode.
How to pair with other walkie-talkies
-
Open the Aleck app and tap the “+” icon to create a new Off Grid Channel.
-
Once the channel is created, you’ll see your Walkie Words.
-
Tap the Compatibility button to view the corresponding channel frequency and subcode (also known as a privacy code or CTCSS/DCS code).
-
On your non-Aleck walkie-talkie (such as Rockie Talkie, BCA, or Motorola), manually enter the same frequency and subcode.
-
Once your settings match, the devices will be able to communicate clearly.
-
Finally, make sure your Off Grid device is connected and tap the Activate button in the Aleck app to deploy the channel to your Off Grid.
🔎 Note: The naming and layout of channels or subcodes may vary between brands. Always double-check the frequency and code match exactly.
