First Time Setup Of Your Tocsen Crash Sensor

STEP 1 - UNBOX & CHARGE YOUR DEVICE

• It is advised that you fully charge your Tocsen Crash Sensor for 24 hours before using / setting it up with the app.

STEP 2 - DOWNLOAD THE ALECK APP (IOS and Android)

STEP 3 - REGISTER ACCOUNT

Open your ALECK app and grant access / permission to the following commands:

• “ALECK would like to send you notifications”.
• “ALECK would like to use your Bluetooth”.
• “May ALECK use your location?" - Set this to always allow so the operating system does not kill this permission in the background. When the Aleck app is closed your location will not still be used.

Important: It is important to permit all three functions unconditionally, to ensure the full operational readiness of your Aleck. But don't worry, we only use your GPS data to ensure a reliable rescue in case of emergency and will not use this information in any other way. 

STEP 4 - CONNECT YOUR SENSOR

1. Inside the Aleck app tap the Add button

2. Tap Add Device

3. Tap Crash Sensor

4. Follow the setup guide instructions

5. Once connected use complete test Simulation at the end of the setup guide to ensure the sensor is setup correctly.

STEP 5 - SET UP YOUR EMERGENCY CONTACTS

• Inside the Aleck app tap the SOS button and scroll to "Your Rescue Network", here you will see an "Invite Friends button" tap this to invite friends to your network. Once invited they will appear in a list under this button
• Please note in order to invite Emergency Contacts users will need to have the Aleck app. This is because we now use the phones emergency system to send out these alerts, this means alerts are less likely to be missed as they will be played out to loud to your rescue network even if their phone is on silent or muted.

STEP 6 - ASSEMBLY & APPLICATION TO HELMET

• Instructions for assembly appear in your app. Please read through carefully before assembly.
• The highly sensitive crash sensor must be firmly attached to your helmet. This is the only way it can reliably measure your accident data.
• We have packed the right mounting adhesive pad for you for secure attachment. You fix this to the underside of your sensor first. Then you can attach it to the helmet with the free adhesive surface. It works like this.
• Try to find an appropriate area on your helmet (with a flat surface) either just behind the ear or at the back of the helmet (as per the images below).
• Clean the area with detergent and water (also remove all detergent residues again).
• Press the adhesive surface of the sensor firmly onto the helmet for five seconds.
• Let it cure for 24 hours before using it for the first time.

You're now fully set up and ready to go! Feel safe in the knowledge that your Crash Sensor has your back... now go and enjoy your ride!
